Future Technologies Aim to Reduce Pollution
Technological innovation is advancing with solutions designed to repair part of the environmental damage caused by human activity. Scientists and companies are currently developing futuristic tools intended to reduce pollution and promote sustainability.
Among these technologies are specially designed bacteria capable of consuming pollutants, as well as artificial intelligence systems that optimize resource management in urban areas.
Researchers are also developing Direct Air Capture (DAC) systems, technologies capable of extracting carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere for storage or reuse. In addition, smart construction materials such as concrete capable of absorbing CO₂ are being introduced.
Another major innovation is photocatalytic paint, special building coatings that use sunlight to neutralize airborne pollutants.
At the same time, so-called solar roads may become increasingly common, generating clean electricity while functioning as transportation infrastructure.Source: Environmental Conference – University of Burgos
