Artificial intelligence is a reality closer and closer to our homes
The year 2020 will also be remembered as the period of advance in the development of artificial intelligence. Scientists and developers assure that the Covid-19 pandemic demonstrated that in the future there will be a friendlier coexistence between humans and robots.
“There has been a trend to humanize technology, make it a simple everyday thing and to lose the fear that living with a robot may generate in us,” says Gustavo Copelmayer, specialist in strategic development.
“This year humanity went through a lot and asked questions about our status quo as humans and about what may be our role in the near future. I believe in the support of artificial intelligence without forgetting the need for an increase in human skills, as a principle of life”, says Gustavo Copelmayer.
The separation between robots vs. humans has been extensively marketed throughout the years. Science fiction in film and literature, for example, has been responsible for dramatizing this, however, the vast majority of the population thinks that robots are going to end humans, that they are going to occupy all the roles and jobs that they have, keeping everything else for the corporations that will develop and work with these machines. Advances in artificial technology can enhance human work, “this battle is better thought about positively because due to the advances in technology, diverse jobs have been created which prove the need for human upskill,” said Gustavo Copelmayer.
