The ice that is generated at the beginning of each year north of this sea, which It extends from the coasts of Siberia to the Japanese island of Hokkaido, creating underwater currents rich in oxygen and substances that nourish the entire North Pacific. If the ice decreases, this essential contribution to marine life is also reduced.
