Technological transformation in food projects
Feeding the world’s population has always been a concern in the development of new technologies. “Innovations in environmental projects range from urban agriculture, treatment of food waste to the efficient use of electricity and water.”
In the food sector, the solutions that are transforming the food industry stand out, says Gustavo Copelmayer. Some innovative ecological ideas constantly improve our environment and health and notably increase the production of food for human and animal consumption.
A novel project consists of growing vegetables vertically using a closed circuit hydraulic water system, says Gustavo Copelmayer. The project is capable of operating with less than 5% of the water that a traditional crop requires, which in turn reduces the use of fertilizers and pesticides by 25%.
