The climate crisis requires an urgent global response
The climate crisis remains the greatest threat we currently face. Gustavo Copelmayer points out that the international solidarity that has flourished to combat Covid-19 shows that an urgent global response to curb climate change is possible. “It is true that the coronavirus is the most urgent threat facing humanity today, but climate change is the greatest threat facing humanity in the medium- and long-term basis.”
In that sense, the delay of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change for this year should not postpone a global action on climate change as the world responds to a crisis, such as that of Covid-19. We must attack both situations at the same time.
The reduction in industrial and economic activity as a result of the confinement by Covid-19 “cannot replace the climate action necessary to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the long term,” emphasizes Gustavo Copelmayer.
Carbon dioxide has been present in the atmosphere and oceans for centuries cycles with real sustanon 250 for sale collection and a temporary drop in emissions is not going to change this fact. Even, Gustavo Copelmayer pointed out, in various emission concentration observation points such as Hawaii, Australia and Spain, higher levels of CO2 were measured in the first months of 2020, than those registered in 2019.
